Cima Rosa

The CimaRosa is located in San Polo, on the quieter, less touristy side of the Canale Grande in one of these authentic little side canals Venice is so famous for. The owners renovated a former palace from the 16th century and turned into an elegant and stylish little bed and breakfast. There are no overdone “liberty style” ornaments you so often see in Venice. On the contrary, the decoration is warm and held in blue and grey.
The airy rooms, some of which with views of the canal, are sufficiently large, with bed linen and mattresses of excellent quality. The bathrooms are spacious and modern with the one and other antique touch.
On the first floor there is a beautiful well lit lounge, where you can enjoy an afternoon tea with homemade biscuits, courtesy of the CimaRosa. This is also the place where the excellent breakfast is served. All about the CimaRosa seems to be exceptional. The intimate atmosphere is reinforced by the owner’s smile and her helpful tips on where to go in Venice outside of the beaten path.
There is a vaporetto stop just 2 minutes away, but you can also reach the CimaRosa on foot from Piazza San Marco in about 20 minutes.
The good price/quality relationship makes this special places one of our favourites in this beautiful city.
