The sun and the golden beaches, the architecture and the landscape, the sympathy of the people, the cosy and safe environment: all these ingredients seduced Isabel Vilela, owner of the Quinta dos Amigos, who decided to settle in the Algarve in 1990.
After acquiring the Quinta dos Amigos, a large rural property of the XIX century, the main objective consisted in restoring it and turning it into a tourist destination.
The apartments as well as the outside spaces (small yards and gardens surrounding the two swimming pools) were carefully renewed, each one with its own atmosphere and individuality.
The Quinta dos Amigos is an open space and at the same time an intimate place (surrounded by a rustic wall), ideal for a calm and relaxing holiday.
Away from the crowds, it enjoys a privileged location, close to the main touristic attractions.

Maravillo entorno, todo súper limpio, la casa muy agradable, colchones cómodo, amabilidad de todo el personal de la Quinta, de TODOS. Se respira paz y tranquilidad. un gran acierto el tener dos piscinas una para adultos y otra para niños. Sin duda volveremos.

We ( 2 adults, two children) spent 10 days at Quinta dos Amigos. Basically we can confirm all the positive reviews: it is a truly warm and peaceful place, with very friendly people working there. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who is seeking a tranquil and beautiful place. Just be aware that life will be much easier with a rental car. Also Netflix users might experience some buffer issues.

Dos Amigos ist eine hübsche, kleine mit Herzen geführte Quinta. Es hat alles gepasst und es war der richtige Rückzugsort für meine anstrengende Arbeit an der Algarve. Die ganze Anlage ist liebevoll gestaltet und wird von einer sehr beherzten jungen Chefin mit sehr viel Engagement geführt. Die Freundlichkeit und unser gutes Einvernehmen ging sogar soweit, dass es ein bis zwei Abschiedstränen ;-) gab.

We had a great apartment. Nicely decorated, big picture window, nice modern bathroom and private terrace. This is a warm and friendly place, thats lovingly maintained. We'll be going back.

Die Anlage ist relativ klein und dadurch sehr familiär. Absolut gepflegt und sehr sauber inkl. der täglichen Reinigung der Pools. Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt, es war dort sehr ruhig und gemütlich. Unsere Töchter (9 und 10) wollen künftig jedes Mal dorthin, wenn wir in Portugal Urlaub machen. Der nächste Strand ist 5 Autominuten entfernt, mehrere Supermärkte sind noch schneller erreichbar. Kurzum: Herrlich, keinerlei Beanstandungen!

Hemos disfrutado de 10 días excepcionales en Quinta dos Amigos. Lo primero que destacaríamos es la belleza de las instalaciones, muy cuidadas, hermosas y muy cómodas. Lo que más hemos disfrutado es la inmensa tranquilidad del lugar, que se refleja en las normas de convivencia en las zonas comunes y también en que se reserva una de las dos piscinas (están separadas en dos zonas diferentes) como zona tranquila de relax y nado. El apartamento era amplio y cómodo. La única crítica que haríamos es que el frigorífico de la cocina enfriaba poco y algunos alimentos se nos pusieron malos. El trato fue muy amable por parte de la encargada, y en una zona propicia para disfrutar de playas no masificadas, de pueblos encantadores y de buena comida. Esperamos volver y recomendamos mucho este alojamiento.

WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY - THE APARTMENT WAS VERY NICE, THE ENTIRE QUINTA HAD A FANTASTIC ATMOSPHERE AND THE STAFF WAS ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. EVERY APARTMENT HAS AN OWN BBQ AND A NICE TERRACE OVERLOOKING ONE OF THE 2 POOLS (1 FOR KIDS, 1 FOR RELAXING). THE ONLY DRAWBACK IS YOU ALWAYS NEED A CAR IF YOU WANT TO GO ANYWHERE - BUT IN LESS THAN 30 MIN YOU CAN REACH A LOT OF NICE PLACES.

Super netter Empfang. In dieser Unterkunft finden Familien mit kleinen Kinder wie auch Paare erholsame Ferien. Für die Grundausstattung zur Selbstversorgung hat es auch einen kleinen preiswerten Selbstbedienungsladen.

What a find

About 5 years ago I was in a rush to arrange a last minute break which saw us land in Faro and set off to visit Granada. The return flight was at 9.00 a.m. and I needed an overnight near the airport. Secret Places couldn't provide availability at my chosen hotel but offered Quinta dos Amigos as an alternative. The presentation at that time was awful - one photo showing a blank wall with green doors. In desperation I booked, expecting a Butlins-like cabin which would be tolerable for a few hours sleep. On arrival what I found was radically different. It was an utterly splendid studio with a patio fenced with potted plants a few yards from a pool. Magical, and a world better than any suite I could have booked at any hotel - but at a trivial price. My regret was that our timetable only allowed an evening to enjoy this lovely place. I count it as one of our luckiest "finds".
