In 2014, Sarah and Phil turned their backs on their bustling city lives in London to bring you, what is now, Stow House. This stunning Victorian property, built in 1876, was once a vicarage but is now a beautifully refurbished B&B. The building was refurbished when Sarah and Phil bought the property but has not been forgotten since then. Your hosts are always looking to improve your experience, whether that be by landscaping and planting fruit trees, or by perfecting their cocktail making skills.
The house is a moderate size, with 7 rooms available, so you can experience privacy whilst, at the same time, having the option to socialise with other guests or your hosts and their dog, Fletcher. You're also welcome to bring your own furry friends along. They will surely get on well with the neighbours (pigs, cows, sheep, and lambs) and love the 2 acres of private grounds (can you throw a frisbee that far?). The rooms are all named after a piece of curated art that hangs on the wall and have everything you could need.
One of the advantages of being surrounded by countryside and farms, is that the breakfast ingredients are locally sourced, environmentally friendly, and incredibly fresh. You can also enjoy the homemade bread, freshly squeezed orange juice, or the meticulously handcrafted cocktails at the honesty bar. There are 2 traditional country pubs just a short walking distance away for you to enjoy a typically British cooked meal and atmosphere.
