Cluc Hotel Begur

The old colonial house that makes up the charming Cluc Hotel Begur may go back to 1800 but the sensibilities are pure 21st century.
It was fully renovated in 2012 fully respecting the architectural lines of the original house, and to make the transformation complete, even the name was changed from Can Palí to Cluc Begur Hotel.
The terrace was done up, a library (great place to relax) was added and public areas such as the living rooms were improved, and all 12 rooms, all of which have their own balcony, were furnished with tender loving care and no small amount of good taste, to create a wonderful Begur hotel.
And Begur here is the operative word, for apart from the hotel in itself, the town and surroundings are pretty incredible in terms of countryside, sea and things to do.
The food is great, for a start, so this is a great place to combine travel with fine cuisine. Begur, in fact, started off life as a fishing village, so it is rich in sea food and top quality fish.
Culturally, it is also very rich with many museums, not least of which the Gala-Dali Castle, this is Salvador Dali country, after all, archeological ruins and no end of fine churches and manor houses to impress the culturally minded.
So, taking into account the intimate family atmosphere at the Cluc Begur Hotel, the town itself and many opportunities of things to do and see in the immediate surroundings, this is a truly charming hotel to have as a base for a Begur accommodation.
