Castello di
Granarola definitely is a secret place. This currently renovated medieval
castle is just a few minutes away from Rimini, Pesaro and Fano. Consequently,
the closest beach called San Bartolo is also reachable within a couple of
minutes by car. The castle is situated on a small hill in the middle of oak and
laurel trees, which guarantees a breathtaking view over the surrounding
countryside. The apartments have all been furnished individually in a very
creative way and with great attention to detail. They all feature free Wi-Fi
access, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, a bathroom with a bathtub or a
shower and a hairdryer. Some apartments also have a flat-screen TV, although
you might not even need it as there are plenty of fun activities to do, such as
horseback riding, taking pottery or painting lessons. Offering a large garden area
with seating or lounging possibilities, the beautiful grounds exude a tranquil
atmosphere what makes it easy to relax.
Starting from the Castello you can also go on excursions to
other cities nearby, for example to Urbino and San Marino. And after a long day
full of activity, you should finish the day with a glass of delicious wine and
local food.
Everything was perfect! We loved our stay at Granarola!

Not a 4* hotel

We stayed a whole week at Castello Granarola. The location and the castle itself are absolutly stunning and the surounding and nature is beautiful. It is a fantastic wedding venue and event location and the staff is very friendly. However, the room we stayed in (Colori) is far away from being a 4* hotel and is totally overpriced (€280 per Night). The carpet floor was full of deep dirty spots. The kitchen was not really equiped, so that cooking on our own was not really possible. The equiment that was there was partly dirty and not well cleaned. The toilet seat was broken and wasn‘t fixed, even after informing the director on day one, during our entire stay and the bathroom had several mold areas. It was also a bit noisy as we could hear our neighbours speak.
Our impression was, that the owner hasn‘t got really a concept for this beatuiful space. If you wanna be a 4* hotel, which the place is designed and predestinated for, you need to offer the room quality (top and clean interieur) and the service (every day cleaning, towel service etc.)). Not sure if there are too many guests revisiting this place?! We won‘t come back before the above mentioned topics have been fixed.
