Villa Bonita

Here's a quick language lesson. The word “Bonita” means pretty in Portuguese (in the feminine form, by the way). And on a basic level that “pretty” much sums up this Algarve holiday home. In the past, the Villa Bonita used to be a traditional Portuguese farmhouse that has been carefully restored to become a luxurious estate, while maintaining the feeling of a family home. It has all the attributes you'd need for a wonderful and pleasant stay.
But what makes it really “beautiful”, so to speak, are not just the bricks and mortar or geographical tangibles, but also the genuine friendliness of Chantelle and Fraser – the two English hosts are the soul of the place and know more than a thing or two about the art of hospitality. Given the super raw materials at hand, the result is a wonderful boutique accommodation allowing to make the most of your stay and get to know an Algarve that many may not realise exists.
Chantelle and Fraser also have the best inside tips for an unforgettable stay. The best beaches? Places to eat? Sports activities? Picnic spots? Just ask them – they will know the perfect answer. This property is set on 10.000 square metres of beautifully landscaped gardens with panoramic ocean views on both sides. The house has a large cosy lounge with a log fire, tiled breakfast room, traditional kitchen, an entrance hall with steep stone staircase and outdoor lounge area. The main house can host a maximum of 17 adults in twin/double rooms and one triple room. For children, there is a sofa bed and rollaway beds/cots which can be added to some rooms if need be. All rooms are individually designed in a classical English tradition and come with top of the range Egyptian cotton linen, fluffy duvets and private terraces.
Outside amenities include a large swimming pool, spacious terraces on three sides of the house with views of the pool and the sea, a built-in gas barbecue, sloped and flat lawns, waterfalls, ponds, an orchard, a formal Italian garden with an outdoor chess set, table tennis in the summer months, a dry garden with daybed and a spacious yoga shala (available on request only). There is a large car park at both the top and bottom of the property.
The Villa Bonita also includes a newly renovated two-bedroom cottage with two bedrooms, a lounge (with sofa bed), dining area, kitchen, outdoor BBQ area, two bathrooms, and separate parking. The cottage can accommodate another 3 to 4 people and can be booked in addition to the main house if required.
