Papaevangelou

In the middle of ravines and mountains, on the outskirts of Megalo Papigo, Georgios has certainly managed to create a little paradise. Hats off to him we say, for Georgios is the owner and host, life and soul of the house. In creating the Papaevangelou, his dream become reality.

The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning, you just can't stop admiring the landscape as the surroundings are amazing. And the location of the hotel makes it great base to discover everything the area has to offer. Talking of which, Georgios will be more than happy to help you and give you advice.

The hotel consists of a courtyard filled with flowers, a smaller building for breakfast and evening chill outs, as well as the main property itself, which feels like a private family home when you enter it. The mix of stone and woods creates a very cosy atmosphere. The rooms are big, homely and wonderfully decorated. In the lounge, you'll even find a fireplace: the perfect spot to warm yourself up after a long hike. Though you could also try a Greek schnapps, of course.

The breakfast is a dream and includes everything you could ever wish for: fresh fruits, nuts, freshly baked bread, local cheeses, eggs, home made jams, and of course George's amazing espresso! Papingo boasts with great taverns, where you can enjoy great local specialities for dinner.

The picturesque village Aristi is also only 10 km away and Monodendri is ca. 30 km away.

Papaevangelou is a true highlight, lost in the middle of a wonderful natural environment. And the friendliness of the host makes it all the more charming.
