Casa Rural Riurau de María

In the hilly Catalan countryside lies Villa Riurau de Maria. It is an old farmhouse from the 18th century, lovingly restored by architect Marta Woodward. Surrounded by vineyards, olive, citrus and almond trees, this beautiful accommodation can host up to 8 people in a bright and minimalist atmosphere. The walls are paved outside and inside there are elegant areas. The house is tastefully decorated to the smallest detail, with custom-made furniture, antique terracotta pots and beautiful natural materials. 

There are two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a third bedroom with four single beds, which also has its own bathroom. The living room has a large fireplace, ideal for cold winter days. If there are more guests, this room can be converted into an additional bedroom, as the sofas can be converted into beds and there is an additional bathroom with shower. Although we think it is ideal if no more than 8 people are accommodated. 

All bedrooms have direct access to the pool and each has its own entrance. The living room also has two large windows overlooking the beautiful garden and mountains. The house has air conditioning, bed linen, towels, flat screen TV, fully equipped kitchen and a terrace overlooking the pool where you can eat in the shade.

If you want to set foot in the sea, the most beautiful bays of the area such as Cala la Fustera, Cala del Moraig and Playa de les Marines are only 20 kilometers away. 

The house is located near the village of Parcent and 20 minutes from Denia. The airports of Valencia and Alicante are just over an hour away.

In the surrounding mountains you can make beautiful hikes or bike rides. For a sporty vacation, besides cycling and hiking in the beautiful nature, horseback riding and surfing are also possible. The golf course of Ifach (23 km) is also 35 minutes away by car. It is also possible to play tennis.
