A petite retreat in the Spanish countryside. Nestled amidst the almond groves and vineyards of the bountiful Xalo Valley in Spain’s Costa Blanca sits Cuatre Finques. A jewel-box of a hotel, this boutique gem was opened in 2014 by Nicky and her partner, Pep, who grew up in the nearby town of Xalo/Jalon. Together with his brother and a crew, Pep built this six-double room and one suite retreat from the ground up. Today, the couple, along with their baby, run this chic retreat, where hospitality trumps all. six light and airy rooms and one family suite, sleeping up to 16 adults and 2 children, a pool and an honesty bar make up this charming property, which sits on the edge of the town of Xalo/Jalon. Days are easily spent relaxing by the pool or exploring the area, from nearby local towns to the area’s famed beaches, which are less than half an hour away. Cruise around on one of the property’s six bikes or join owner Pep on a guided tour of his hometown and the surrounding area to discover the local flora and fauna.
Rooms Nowhere does the hotel’s warm personality shine brighter than in its six light and airy rooms, which all feature AC, WiFi, en suite shower rooms and a terrace or balcony. Crisp white linens and rustic wood furnishings are beautifully blended. Dining Wake up to the scent of freshly prepared breakfast, included as part of your stay - bread, croissants, fruit picked from their trees, coffee, juice and, depending on how the hen’s feel that morning, even made-to-order eggs. Light lunch served on your terrace or by the poolside is typically available daily and dinners are usually provided three nights a week. Also available on request are a tasting of the area’s local wines. The hotel also offers a handy honesty bar at the pool, featuring snacks and beverages, where you can rustle up your own G and T.
