A musical oasis in the heart of Seville. It is obvious that as soon as guests pass through the doors of this charming Hotel that the musical name of the Amadeus is not a misnomer. One of the first things that you will notice, for example, is the grand piano and harp in the foyer, as well as the gently melodic classical music playing in the background. Yet, the lyrical connection doesn’t just stop there. Other lovely little musical touches include the soundproofing of some rooms equipped with pianos, so guests can play to their hearts content without fear of disturbing anyone – music to everyone’s ears, so to speak. The patio also holds a grand piano where recitals are held sporadically. All of these things certainly add up to make it a special musical oasis, but it would be wrong to suggest the Amadeus Sevilla is simply a one theme hotel.

On the ground floor you can enjoy a pleasant cafeteria that leads to a series of beautiful traditional courtyards where you can relax al fresco, which connect the four historic buildings that make up the hotel. But the most memorable is the terrace overlooking "la Giralda" where you can have a drink until 11 o'clock at night, and where you will also find the jacuzzi and the salt water swimming pool with solarium, open all year round as it is heated in winter.

Far from it, for this lovely 18th century Seville style manor house also doubles up as simply a charming little 19 room hotel. The recent renovation work has maintained the building’s Andalusian heartbeat and charm intact but added those modern little necessities as standard, such as air conditioning, Internet access and glass wall elevator. The location in Santa Cruz and the Juderia is also simply second to none. Most of Seville’s major monuments are just a stone’s throw away and, indeed, should you wish to have breakfast on the terrace (and we strongly suggest you do) then you will be overlooking the Judería, the Giralda and much of the old town – a truly beautiful sight.

With its musical heritage, it is no wonder that a number of the guests are musicians and artists, but whatever your musical inclination, the truth is that the Hotel Amadeus Sevilla is a wonderful base from which to discover Seville. A final word of note however. Part of Seville’s many charms are its narrow, winding streets, which though picturesque make parking somewhat difficult. Public parking, is available some 100 metres from the Hotel Amadeus Sevilla, where the hotel has allotted spaces.
