Las Casas de La Juderia has expanded over the years to now include a fine collection of houses in the charming Jewish Santa Cruz Quarter of Seville. They originally belonged to the Duke of Bejar and as a result feel like a small community in itself. The patios, fountains, tiles and balconies with hanging potted plants, all provide a truly romantic and typically Seville backdrop. This is the old city as it must have been in its heyday with the aroma of orange trees and the sound of water running off the fountains. Many of the rooms are reached by way of lovely arched pathways and elaborate patios, whilst others have their own balconies.

Parking in the area is not easy, though being so centrally positioned all the famous sites of this majestic and exciting city are within walking distance. A historical footnote is that Las Casas were the first houses to take in the American Indians when Colon returned from the New World.

It's a very special place to stay. More than one hundred rooms located in different houses connected each other through Andalusian Patios in an ancient and beautiful quarter, Santa Cruz.
Beautiful place

The hotel, which is made of 4 houses, is beautiful and right in the center of Barrio Santa Cruz so walking distance to practically everything. It is a bit too big for my taste and our room, though very nice, had a very small window so it was pretty dark.
Disappointing

I am sure there are some nice rooms in this hotel, but ours definitely wasn't one of them. On the ground floor, in a separate building, at the furthest point from the entrance, it had no window and was very dark. The lavatory was in a room so small that even though I am only 5'4" and 8 stone there was barely room to shut the door and my much taller husband found it impossible. There was also a strong smell of drains on the way to our room.
