Lake Orta is a small nice lake close to the Alps and not far from Lake Maggiore, so nice that it is even considered to be the most romantic of the lakes of Northern Italy. On the hill side of Orta town, very close to the Lake you will find La Darbia, which was originally a small rural settlement that was renewed as a tourist resort, but still respecting its original features. All the buildings are different from each other and are separated by yards and pedestrian lanes. The ground floor apartments have private gardens, while those on the first floor come with terraces. All the apartments have a wonderful view of Lake Orta, the Island of San Giulio and Mount Rosa.

As well as architecture, the great passion of the owners is wine. They are dedicated to the care of the vineyard to ensure the production of an excellent Rosé Brut. A beautiful renovated cellar offers the opportunity to taste excellent wine and typical products of local gastronomy.

A nice swimming pool and a vineyard will allow you to relax and enjoy the panorama. A delicious breakfast will be brought to your apartment each morning, featuring a range of delicious, locally-sourced food.

La Darbia is the ideal spot to spend time with your family, or just to enjoy and relax in intimacy.

Wunderbares Panorama - sehr gute Unterkunft

La Darbia bietet einen grandiosen Blick auf den Orta See und die umliegenden Berge. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr schön gepflegt, die Appartements sind alle schön eingerichtet und haben entweder Terrasse oder Garten. Die Betreuung durch Signora Angela war äußerst professionell, in der Rezeption gibt es ausgesuchte Getränke und Spezereien (Grissini, Pestos etc.) zu akzeptablen Preisen zu erwerben. Der Pool ist sehr gepflegt und für eine kurze Abkühlung ideal. Kleine Nachteile sind: Matratzen in unserem Appartement waren nicht ganz hochqualitativ (man lag leicht durch), die Leselampen im Schlafzimmer gaben etwas zu wenig LIcht. Wenn man im Orta See schwimmen will, muss man entweder zu Fuß 10-15 Minuten über die kurvige und daher nicht ganz ungefährliche Bergstraße runter gehen oder mit dem Auto fahren. Trotzdem ein rundum wunderbares Quartier in einer sehr schönen Gegend.

LaDarbia is stylish, calm and ticks every box for a complete resort holiday. The private Apartments are thoughtfully designed, providing everything required, clean and well maintained. The LaDarbia team are great, professional and welcoming. The quiet location is superb, offering addictive views from every apartment, up the hill from Orta San Guilio, overlooking Lago d'Orta, Isola San Guilio & surrounding villages & mountains. Convenient to Malpensa & Linate airports, Lago Maggiore & nearby towns. Wonderful hospitality.

Sehr tolle Unterkunft! Wunderschön gelegen und hervorragende Aussicht. Die Fewos sind gut ausgestattet, wunderschöne Außenanlage. Gewürze und eine zusätzliche Decke fehlen leider.

Sehr gepflegte Anlage

Mein Mann und ich waren für eine Woche in einer kleinen Ferienwohnung. Die Anlage war tip top gepflegt, unsere Wohnung geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Inhaber super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Blick auf den Ortasee ist fantastisch. Da die Ausgehmöglichkeiten in Orta San Giulio begrenzt sind und wir auch nicht jeden Tag Lust hatten mit dem Auto runter in den Ort zu fahren, waren wir froh über die Kochmöglichkeit in unserer Wohnung. Der Blick von dort oben ist eh viel schöner, als unten direkt am See. Am tollsten fanden wir den Pool, der ebenfalls sehr gepflegt war und von dem aus man ebenfalls in den Genuss der wundervollen Kulisse kommt. Für Menschen, die gerne aktiv sind gibt es schöne Wanderungen und Mountainbike-Touren rund um den See. Die Wohnung hat Geschirrspüler, kostenloses WLAN, was gut funktioniert hat und einen Fernseher, über den man auch die deutschen Fernsehsender empfangen kann. Wir waren begeistert und fahren bestimmt mal wieder hin.
