Hotel Cram

Striking contemporary design in the historic heart of Barcelona. You simply can’t fault the Hotel Cram’s location. Close by to the Ramblas and Plaza de Cataluña and surrounded by the city’s most emblematic architecture, the Hotel Cram fits perfectly into the rich heritage that surrounds it, thanks to its majestically elegant late 19th century facade.
But once inside, guests are in for a surprise. The interior, whilst also not lacking refinement, is in contrast thoroughly modern and striking. Just witness the sequence of contrasts - dark ceiling areas, floor tiles and furniture, the lobby bar or consider the striking colours used that range from orange to violet to Bordeaux. This refreshing “modernity” is ubiquitous. The central patio, for example, makes full use of natural illumination whilst the very spacious rooms even come with an interesting innovation, whereby guests can select different lighting scenes (welcome, fiesta, romantic and night light).
In some ways, the Hotel Cram is much like Barcelona itself, very much aware of its historical patrimony, but not afraid of moving forward with bold modern strokes. The Gaig restaurant, opened in 1869, and proud owner of a Michelin star can now also be found within the Hotel Cram, making any stay here now that much more delicious.
