Cotswold is a hilly region in England, also referred to as the heart of England. It consists of six counties, one of which is Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire can be further divided in three regions: the major part of the Cotswold, the Royal Forest of Dean and the Severn Vale. The hills create together with the vales and the river Avon a landscape of natural beauty and a special magic, which has already inspired famous artists like J.R.R Tolkien and J.K. Rowling. Gloucestershire is known for its cities and the houses of a warm, honey-coloured limestone. Until today, many noble mansions can be found in this district, as a consequence of the richness from sheep wool in old times.

In March and April, people from all over the world come here to walk the Daffodil Walk, which will be blooming with daffodils at this time of the year. You can enjoy the scenery of Gloucestershire by walking as well as on the bike.
