The Quinta is located in a protected ecological area, it was recently rebuilt preserving the traditional construction with a contemporary look on the inside. It consists of three independent houses, each with a bedroom with a double bed, a sitting area with a sofa bed, a bathroom with shower, handmade soap and soft fresh towels. There's complimentary tea and coffee as well as a bowl of seasonal fruit or nuts. All houses have electric heating and air conditioning, keeping you warm in the winter months and cool during the summer.

Breakfast is included in your stay, giving you a taste of the local, seasonal and organic products and can be served in the main living room at the big house or outside in the garden, if the weather allows it.

The big house has a cozy common main room with large comfy sofas, board games and books at your disposal, as well as a projector and screen, to watch movies or documentaries, and free wi-fi.

There is an outside patio with exterior sofas and a fire pit for marshmallows. The big garden at the front of the house invites you to lay a blanket on the grass, have a picnic and enjoy the sounds of nature. In the summer months, the water tank filled with spring water is perfect for cooling down. The wood fire oven is still used to cook heartwarming meals and happy pizza parties.

You are free to walk around the property and discover the woods as well as the many hidden nooks, where you can meditate, take a nap, read, practice nature photography or birdwatching. There is a granite boulder from where you can watch the sunset while having a glass of wine and at night the outside lights are turned off to allow for stargazing and astrophotography.

This is a magical and tranquil place, with an extremely privileged location, immersed in autochthonous woodland and surrounded by ancient history. It sits at the foot of the historical village of Monsanto and beside the first romanesque chapel of the Iberian Peninsula, the chapel of São Pedro de Vir-a-Corça. There are two Roman roads, which you can access from both entrances and are dated around two thousand years old, connecting the chapel and Monsanto, as well as Idanha-a-Velha, a neighbouring ancient historical village.

A certified guide can take you on a tour through the many historical places of interest surrounding the property as well as a fantastic masseuse that offers a wonderfully therapeutic and relaxing massage in your room. Both need to be booked in advance and incur additional fees.

Monsanto village is 20 minutes walking distance on the roman road or 15 minutes by car. Close by and suggested to visit are Idanha-a-Velha (7.7km), Penha Garcia (14km), Termas de Monfortinho (28km) and Moraleja in Spain (59km).

The distances to main the cities are: to Castelo Branco it's 50 km, to Coimbra it's 187km, to Lisbon it's 274km and to Porto, it's 289km.
