Hotel Indigo York

Step into this mouth-watering hotel, uniquely designed to tell York's chocolate story. Did you know that York is the birthplace of Terry's chocolate orange and KitKats? Well Hotel Indigo York sure does and they've made sure to include all of these details into their rooms. In confectionery rooms, the wall panels look like chocolate blocks, the lights are made from antique jelly moulds, and the furnishings are in warm cocoa colours. Other rooms have been designed to display just a snippet of York's history, with historical images showing what the city used to look like, 'Made in Yorkshire' oak tables and furniture, and lamp shades featuring details from the 19th century census of the neighborhood. Even the room numbers have been specially commissioned to be hand carved in the same style as the famous York Minster. 

Stepping out of the hotel and into the medieval district of York, the hotel is located in walking distance of The Shambles, National Railway Museum, York Chocolate Story, and Jorvik Viking Centre.
