Restaurant Casale Villarena
Via Amerigo vespucci, 13(0039 0818081779)First of all, we stayed at Casale Villarena. Amazing. The food is outstanding.my fussy 8 year old lives on chicken goujons... chips... etc. he happily tucked into Pasta Zuccini as a starter followed by lemon veal. we were fighting for our share of the pasta starter. we have since enjoyed many local dishes, including home made pizza which I had fun making myself. Beautiful food made all the better by Guillimo and his staff.

Acquacotta

Mascalucia Tips
Al Giardino di Bacco
Via Piave 3, San Giovanni La Punta (Catania)(0039 095 751 2727)A treat: the small, delicious menu of seasonal cuisine reinterprets local tradition with a delicate touch. High quality ingredients, use of wild herbs, a very good wine list and professional service. The original rooms of the old house have been kept untouched, so there are several small dining rooms. In the summer, tables are set in the garden under the palm trees.

Cortona Tips

Napoli - Sorrento Tips
Discover Sorrento
Set within a lush 4,000 square metres oasis of flora, the Villa dei D’Armiento it may be hard to tear yourself away from the tranquillity of the garden with its palm and citrus groves, camellia trees and cacti. However, a visit to Sorrento is a must, with all its shops, restaurants, galleries and nightlife being just 1km away.
The Villa’s location is also ideal for taking excursions to the many famous and picturesque places that the peninsular offers: the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida... the beauty of the Amalfi coast, sites of historical interest such as Pompeii, Herculaneum, and last but not least, the beautiful city of Naples.
End your day by taking a few steps from the Villa to enjoy a wonderful view of the peninsula at sunset at The Belvedere Marinella, a walk to the beach that was so dear to Sophia Loren.
The Boutique Hotel Villa Dei D’Armieto is located in Corso Marion Crawford, named in honour of the famous American writer who lived nearby until 1909.

Mascalucia Tips
Driving, Walking, Winetasting
Northern Etna's wine estates area, between Linguaglossa and RandazzoNorthern Etna is fascinating: far from Catania’s and the southern slopes’ chaos, thanks to the wine boom it appears well groomed and is slowly blooming with beautiful wine estates, interesting people and small restaurants, maintaining its remote wilderness all the same.Vineyards are a typical feature of Etna’s landscape. Terracings, dry-lavastone walls, service roads, villages, architecture typologies: from the early 19th century, the landscape of the Etna hills up to 1000-1300 meters altitude has been shaped by the increasing demand of wine. The three autoctonous reds earned the territory the nickname “Italy’s Little Burgundy". A truly phantastic place!
